JoeyFest Performers

Ava Camille
Performer at JoeyFest MA 2019, 2020, & 2022, JoeyFest DC 2024, & JoeyFest LA 2025
Ava Camille, who now resides in LA, grew up in the Washington D.C. area, raised by an entrepreneur father and a writer mother. Her parents played a variety of music in the house – from Tina Turner to Emmylou Harris to Prince to Brazilian Bossa Nova. This eclectic mix of musicians inspired Ava, who now pairs her alluring, soulful vocals with a catchy pop energy. She draws from musical inspirations like Olivia Dean, Maggie Rogers, and Alicia Keys.
Ava is pursuing singing/songwriting with the ambition of making it her full-time career. She is currently in the process of releasing her debut EP, “Heartbreak Just Gets Harder”. Her writing is candid, charming, and thoughtful. Ava is unapologetically herself through her music and hopes to continue developing a quality we all share: dynamism. She of course sings of romantic love, but she openly uses music to process other themes in life as well - themes such as privilege, envy, learning to love oneself, and sometimes just wanting to be a disco ball. While Ava's songs are uniquely hers, they’ll make you feel understood and seen in more ways than one.
Ava Camille can be found on all streaming platforms.

Marilyn Hucek
Performer at JoeyFest DC 2024 & JoeyFest LA 2025
Marilyn Hucek is an American-Chilean artist and singer-songwriter born in Washington D.C. From a young age Marilyn would write songs before she knew what songwriting was and later learned to play piano and guitar. Growing up with a multicultural background her musical influences have been wide-ranging. She enjoys singing and writing in both English and Spanish incorporating her upbringing into her artistry.
Marilyn’s late father battled early-onset Alzheimer’s for 15 years, which impacted her deeply. She wrote and dedicated a special song in his honor which became her debut single and launched her career as a full-time artist. The themes in her music cover love, loss, heartbreak, and writing from personal experiences and observations.
Since then Marilyn has amassed over 4 million streams, released 2 EPs, performed live at more than 150 venues of all shapes and sizes, and she's committed to using her voice and platform to help raise Alzheimer’s awareness. Marilyn’s music has been on radio, and featured on Pandora editorial playlists, “Today’s Tunesmiths & Troubadours,” and “AMP: Fresh Cuts.” She performed at the Annapolis Songwriters Festival, and Takoma Park Songwriters Festival, to name a few.
Marilyn is currently attending LAAMP, a prestigious music academy in LA co-founded by the hit producer duo Stargate and mentored by music executive Chris Anokute. She is working on her debut full-length album.
